Currently, the areas supported by the QAD and DSR applications include the broadly understood warehouse management, both of which are concerned with the management of both the products produced by the plant and the components for production. The company based its operation of the high-bay warehouse on the QAD Warehousing solution, which ensured the automation of the material logistics process and relieved employees of the tedious and time-consuming processes of cataloging and entering data.

Implementation of APS 4FACTORY in Valmont Polska

In order to streamline the scheduling process and improve order deadlines, DSR has implemented a proprietary planning solution involving the use of the so-called phantom technology / routes. It involves introducing a virtual order into the production schedule, developing it using phantom technology and placing it in the schedule. The result is more precise information about the planned date of order execution. Thanks to this, the sales department is able to provide the customer with accurate information when he will receive the finished product.
